The dwarf coconut, is a variety of coconut tree that is smaller in stature than the tall variety and produces fruit at a younger age: 

• Size: Dwarf coconut trees are small in stature, growing to be 5–7 meters tall. 
• Fruit: The fruit of the dwarf coconut can be ivory yellow, apricot red, or green. 
• Disease resistance: The dwarf coconut is resistant to Lethal Yellowing disease. 
• Growing conditions: Dwarf coconut trees prefer full sun and can tolerate salt soils. They can grow in clay, loam, sand, acidic, or alkaline well-drained soils. 
• Growing tips: Young dwarf coconut trees should be protected when temperatures are colder than 40°F, while established trees can tolerate temperatures as low as 30°F. When growing in a container, use a container that is at least 30 gallons. 
• Hybrids: Hybrids of dwarf and tall coconut trees can be produced by crossing a dwarf coconut with a tall coconut, or vice versa. Hybrids tend to flower earlier and produce higher yields of better quality copra and oil than their parent trees.
