This allows you to see blossoms and fruit as early as one year old. Our trees are very hardy, and of the best quality! You will absolutely not find such a quality with any other nursery.

Meyer Lemon Trees are cold hardy. If you live in a colder climate, your tree can be moved inside for the winter. Place your tree by your southernmost-facing window indoors, and they will still produce fruit prolifically. As the Meyer Lemon Tree matures it will bear larger quantities of fruit. Meyer Lemons are green when they are growing. They will turn yellow as they ripen, which can take several months. Meyer Lemons are much sweeter than the standard (grocery store) lemon. Meyer Lemons are great fruit for juicing and Lemon meringue pie! Meyer Lemon Trees are ever-bearing, producing blossoms and fruit continuously throughout the year with proper care. Meyer Lemon trees recover fairly easily from pest damage with treatment. They are highly adaptable to environmental changes. With the proper care, Meyer Lemon Trees are capable of producing fruit for over 30 years! This version arrives in a 5 – 10 gallon pot, is rooted and is bushier than our other Meyers Lemon trees.

WILL I HAVE LEMONS THE VERY FIRST YEAR?
Absolutely! These Meyer lemon trees are ready to produce. Starting in May, you will start to see lemons starting to form. They start out green so don’t worry. As they grow larger, they will start turning yellow.

MEYER LEMON TREE CARE
Grow you Improved Meyer Lemon tree in full sun and well-drained soil. When planting in the ground water deeply 2 times per week until your dwarf citrus tree is established. After the first few months, water when the soil begins to dry. Meyer Lemons do not like wet roots so be sure the soil has dried down to about 2 inches whether in the ground or in containers. Citrus plants like humid environments so misting the leaves daily in dry environments is ideal.

Fertilize with a balanced slow release fertilizer when planting and in early spring and late summer. Containerized plants perform better when fertilized 3 to 4 times per year. Fertilize your potted citrus with a balanced slow release fertilizer when planting, the end of winter, early summer and again in fall.

The Meyer Lemon tree can grows outdoors in the ground. Otherwise it must be grown in containers as a patio plant or indoors. It will not tolerate freezing temperatures. Move your lemon tree inside when temperatures drop below 40 degrees.
